AlysEdwards Tile & Stone (Anaheim, CA), B.A. Schmidt Arts & Enterprises (Highland Park, IL), Florim (Clarksville, TN), Ironrock/Metropolitan Ceramics (Canton, OH), Landmark MetalCoat (Temecula, CA), Lilywork Ceramic Ornament (Quakertown, PA), McIntyre Tile (Healdsburg, CA), MTM Wizard Enterprise (Hawthorne, CA), Oceanside Glasstile (Carlsbad, CA), Terra Verre (Toronto, Canada), and Trikeenan Tileworks (Keene, NH) designed and installed colorful tiles on bench forms donated by wedi Corp. and TCNA.
“TCNA members have once again generously given their time, labor, and materials to make lovely benches for donation. Opportunity House is a wonderful cause, and we are certain these benches will bring much enjoyment to those who use them,” said Eric Astrachan, TCNA’s executive director.
Opportunity Village is a nonprofit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities and related disabilities throughout the Las Vegas community to enhance their lives and the lives of their families. Through vocational training, employment, day services, advocacy, arts and social recreation, people with severe disabilities are able to find new friends, realize future career paths, seek independence and community integration, and unleash creative passions.
Opportunity Village has grown to become Nevada’s largest private, not-for-profit community rehabilitation program, helping more than 3,000 people annually. More than just a charity, it operates two work center campuses and one thrift store in Southern Nevada. Opportunity Village also operates a vehicle donation program, trains and places hundreds of disabled adults in jobs throughout the community, and hosts some of the most popular special events in all of Las Vegas, including the annual Magical Forest.
