Tile Council of North America (TCNA) is pleased to announce the completion of the first draft of ANSI A138.1 North American standard specifications for sustainable ceramic tiles, glass tiles and tile installation materials. Titled Green Squared®, it will be the world’s first consensus-based sustainability standard written exclusively for tile and installation materials.

First Ever Certified Sustainable Tile Products Unveiled
After 5 years developing an all-encompassing multi-attribute sustainability standard for tile and tile installation materials, the very first certified sustainable products are being announced.
Cumulatively, eight major manufacturers of tile and installation materials have hundreds of products that are already certified or will be certified by the start of Coverings on April 17, with yet even more of their products still in the evaluation process and expected to earn certification this year. At least six additional manufacturers have started the certification process for hundreds more products that are expected to be certified within the year.
Total Solutions Plus 2011
The Tile Council of North America (TCNA) is pleased to announce it will again partner with the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) and the Ceramic Tile Distributors Association (CTDA) to host Total Solutions Plus.
2011 TCNA Handbook Now Available
The Tile Council of North America (TCNA) is pleased to announce the release of the 2011 TCNA Handbook for Ceramic Tile Installation. The combined efforts of the TCNA Handbook Committee, several TCNA and NTCA technical committees, hundreds of individual contributors, and TCNA staff which invested more than 3000 hours of its time made this year’s Handbook possible. The 2011 Handbook contains the most significant additions and revisions since it was first printed in 1963.
