Eleven members of Tile Council of North America, Inc. (TCNA) donated beautifully tiled benches to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana (BGCNWI) at Coverings 2016 in Chicago, IL.
The participating companies included: Allison Eden Studios (booth #8113), Crossville, Inc. (booth #7306), Iconic Design Concepts (booth #8309), Interceramic (booth #7320), Lunada Bay Tile (booth #8000), Marazzi USA (booth #1201), Shenfeld Studio (booth #8115), StonePeak Ceramics (booth #7416), Vitromex (booth #7409), Wizard Enterprise (booth #8109), and Wonder Porcelain (booth #7709).
The Wedi bench forms used to make these benches were contributed by Wedi (booth #8351) and TCNA.
“We thank our members whose passion, generosity, artistry, and craftsmanship made these beautiful benches possible.” said Eric Astrachan, TCNA’s executive director. “We are very pleased to once again partner with Boys & Girls Clubs, and we are glad these benches will benefit their mission helping children in the local community.”
“We’re so thankful for the talent and generosity of everyone involved with this,” said Anne Flannery, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana. “We plan to auction these benches off at one of our signature events later this year, so that their impact can be magnified with the thousands of kids we serve throughout the region.”
During the show the benches were on display in the TCNA Art Tile Courtyard (#8111), where a donation ceremony was held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20th.
